Tim Healey is an automotive journalist who has spent time working in the retail trenches in the industry. He has been writing about the industry and reviewing new cars, trucks, and SUVs for three years now. Whether it's breaking news or car reviews, he has the industry covered. He lives in Chicago, and when he is not behind the wheel of a test car or typing away at his laptop, he spends his spare time running, watching sports, and exploring his hometown.
Tim started his automotive journalism career at Consumer Guide Automotive, and since leaving Consumer Guide, he has freelanced for Iguida.com, Examiner.com, High Gear Media, AutoGuide, and other publications. He is a member of the Midwest Automotive Media Association, and he attends all four major auto shows, all so he can cover the industry thoroughly. Before he wrote about cars, he worked in the service department for several dealerships, where he learned the retail side of the business.
From Tim Healey:
Writing about cars is a strange and wonderful way to make a living, and I am lucky to do so. I started in the retail side of the business, but now I am putting my communication degree to good use by writing about cars, trucks, and the industry that builds them. Each day brings something new, whether it's a hot test car, a juicy piece of breaking news, or a trip to an exotic locale for a press launch.
